Them's the rules. It's been the same rules for decades, everyone knew them before going into the game. If its a draw, you replay the Grand Final. It happens once every 30 odd years, who cares. I know I'll be watching again next Saturday.

My only question is, is it a long weekend next weekend too??

Exactly, no need to change it. The game is about all 4 quarters, not which team is going strongest at the end.

Does this mean that the AFL (read: Demetriou) will tell Gary Ablett to keep "thinking" about the Gold Coast offer for another week so it doesn't detract from the Grand Final publicity? Seems that's going pretty well right about now.........
