Default Capeweed Allergy

Hi guys, I recently moved house and last Thursday went to the old house to do a bit of maintenance on the gardens. I tried pulling out these weeds which my brother in law told me were called Black Jack which I later learnt is the African name for Capeweed. About half an hour later my skin on my arms started itching and burning. I broke out in a scaly red and white rash shortly afterwards which has spread all the way up both arms, unto my shoulders and upper back. My stomach, neck, scalp and lower back are also itchy. I've been nauseas, had uncontrollable sneezing, red puffy eyes, running nose and headaches since then.

I went and saw a doctor today who advised me it was Capeweed allergy and advised me all he could recommend is taking some antihistamines until the rash goes away.

Anyone had this reaction to Capeweed before and can tell me what will help with the itching? It's driving me nuts.

My parents grow aloe vera, so I usually just cut off a stem and apply that to the affected area, works a treat.

Sarah, try Advantan Cream, but might need a prescription for it.
