Well for all you metal heads out there I'm sure some of the most die hard Metallica fans (like me ) have been waiting patiently for Metallica to kick it up a notch after St. Anger. Well the new album is due for world wide realease in a week or so with a world tour to follow. As soon as dates are confirmed over east I'm booking a flight.

Basically it's a return the real for me, bit more thrash than I like ordinarily, but Lars is kickin as hard as ever, James is yelling again, Rob is adding that touch that Jason Newstead could never quite get and Kirk is still the master of all things riff.

Now this album was supposed to be released in 8 days time or something worldwide. Some french record store obviously wasn't told this (or they didn't listen) and started selling the album today. Sweet as, I thought I heard a new metallica song on broadcasted on the radio the other day, very 'unforgiven' black album sounding, then thrash towards the end....not bad compared to the previous album, wasn't a real fan of that

I have pre-ordered this through the Metallica website... can't wait to crank it up!

it is / was triple j's feature album and the track i heard was rather good.

In any case ill support the artists if they tour to Perth, otherwise f 'em.
