Default African Black Beetle

These little pricks have infested my lawn, I've tried both chemical spray and granules from Bunnings with limited success, anyone got any other ideas?

I'm thinking plastic lawn. This upkeep stuff is getting pointless. Lack of water and pests..Issues.

If the soil is resisting the water the chemicals might be finding it rather difficult to get to the beetles. Good luck with the little buggers.

By the time you see the beetle it is too late, the beetle doesn't do any damage its the lavae that causes the problem. You are just wasteing your money treating the beetle it has already laid the eggs.

From memory you need to treat about 4 weeks before you see the beetle to kill the lavae before it turns to adult stage.

From memory use baycor or baythroid can't remember exactly which one but can do some research and find out if really want.

I have a fantastic method for treating these little bastards, that was passed down the generations from my Italian relatives.

Here's a hint..
