Dont expect to find it on the shelf at a cash converters shop for at least 2 weeks from the day it was put in, if sold. Takes two weeks to clear police clearance ,
which is why i said get your report made and serial in the data base

I didnt think a watch would be worth that much... nor would anyone pay more for a worn watch?

If you intend to resell for profit then you should lock it away in its original box for years. a worn watch is not worth as much - especially one with gravel rash from being dropped on a road

At the end of the day it's back to basic economics 101, supply and demand. Limited runs will definitely fetch the dollar but not all limited edition spec watch appreciate in value.
As basic as a simply watch design with 3 needles, they could easily be worth a brand new dakdak.

I can fully understand wanting an expensive watch as a guy - we don't tend to wear jewellery. My last trip to Bali I was devastated that my TAG Heuer stop ticking, then had moisture appear inside the face. On a thorough check I noticed that I failed to tighten the adjustment lug properly when I got to Bali and changed the date (end of February). A scuba dive forced water into it.

I'll never forgive myself as it was my present to myself for getting my uni degree. Had it nearly 20 years.

My new one just isn't the same ;(

Best of luck finding yours.
