Matt - I really don't know what I want do yet. A lot of crap to deal with still and i'm checking out options at the moment, hence no time frame. But educating myself now is free, so I don't make mistakes later which will/could be costly. But...this is not going to be a road registered car.

The familia has crossed my mind.

well the benefit of getting a familia etc are parts & panel availability. gearboxes are of course the softpoint, but i have never broken a gearbox on any car yet :) you just need to drive sensibly. let me know what you think you might be doing, sounds fun :)

Charade Turbo

Got one charade turbo 87 model, the engine only 3 cyclinder~1 litre car so far that car goes pretty alright for little tiny turbo :laughing1
Spend a little extra and get a 323 :P

that said, you could pick up a KE Ford laser TX3 (87-89) fwd turbo for not much too, and it would piss on the charade
bullshit, u can crank 30 psi into those things fine :D

Adrian 28-02-2006 07:27 PM

Turbo swifts are also 4WD and very capable, i've competed against one a few times.

Andy 28-02-2006 08:08 PM

i thought the G11 GTT-i charades were only fwd. :\

Probably useless dribble....
But buy the swift! They go super hard, never die, and plenty around so parts r easy.
And ive read about many a japanese hoon banging on a turbo?

(btw - personal experience, these handle rather well off road ;) )

Adrian 28-02-2006 11:33 PM
i thought the G11 GTT-i charades were only fwd. :\
yeah i meant the swift, seem to always confuse zukis/daihatsus much to the dismay of the suzuki swift drivers i know
