TV and Laptop repairers?
Had a power surge about a month ago that popped my LCD TV and laptop. Sent off a claim to western power and have been given the green light on repair or replace subject to a written quote from a licensed repairer.
Anyone know a place that will quote on both of these? TV is a Samsung and laptop is an Acer. I figure most places will charge to quote as I assume they will need to disassemble them, so may be cheaper getting done at one place. Cheers |

Corrie, I'll speak to my Fiance. She works for HBF in home claims, so she would know a reparier. I'll sms you tomorrow. I think the place is in Malaga from memory.

TechniQ for laptop mate - I can look at it, or the owner Kevin.
We will write you an insurance quote for a replacement - hardly ever worth repairing a laptop. |

I called up the place Kym told me about today. They want $108 each to quote on the TV and laptop. I got the wife to call western power and see if they will reimburse this. As the laptop is a few years old we said it was worth around $300 so WP have said not to bother with a quote, they will just pay us that. Now I just need to get the TV quoted and I am all set.

That's true, repairing a laptop thats had its warranty lapsed is hardly worth the effort, especially if its a lower spec one. Same thing with shops offering extended warranties for technology (esp computers), the depreciation that comes with them is so great, its not worth the price you paid for the added insurance.
