Default Bull Shark in the River

Thought this might interest some people.

Caught this Bull Shark last night whilst kayak fishing for Mulloway in the Swan River near Trinity College/Heirisson Island.

Great fun to catch, however was a little disheartened when i saw it wasnt a Mulla.

Definitely great fun to catch, scary thing is that its a small one compared to whats been spotted/caught in the Swan before, specially since its considered more aggressive then a Great White

Agreed, not the biggest in the world, probably about 5kg. But aggressive as hell!

Cheers guys! Catching anything is 10 times more fun in the yak. To be honest the bigger fish are actually easier to katch on the kayak than if you were shore based.

And yeah i released him. (Much to Mum's disappointment this morning when she found out)

great effort
what bait did you use?
I can imagine the difficulty in hauling up an angry shark onto a kayak

Was using a small live Mullet.
Decided not to bring him onto the yak just in case i lost a toe or something. Just peddled my way over to Trinity and beached it on the grass there.
