subwoofer to home amp
I was given two sub woofers from my cousins car on sat as he no longer needs them ( sony explod )
Can one of them be wired up to the home amp without any problem or Please advise |

where is he going to EARTH the amp? also will need 12v power mini transfomer ac to dc??

If they are just 4ohm subs in a box yes you can, providing your home amp has subwoofer output terminals, if the amp has a rca output for sub it can only run a powered sub (theatre style). If you want to use the sony subs you will have to wire them to a 8 ohm load (see google for how to do this)
