RichX 16-03-2011 02:10 PM

Will wait for the crash outside the windsor in South Perth ... ;) Or in the headlines somewhere.

REXXXED 16-03-2011 02:10 PM

I've read that you can own an FXX and store it either at Ferrari or at your own residence. However it is for storage purposes only, cannot be tracked or driven except at the Ferrari run track days for their scientific progressive purposes....

Extremely sexy car!

Gk_ 16-03-2011 02:16 PM

yer i think if you buy one private like this guy did, you can keep them at home but you have to fork out privatley for service after you trash it at the track. other wise they are meant to bring it to you and take it away when your done??

are the pictures workign for you guys??

Luigi 16-03-2011 02:16 PM

Negatori.

Bob 16-03-2011 02:18 PM

Servicing must surely be a fly in fly out Maranello affair.
Nice bit of kit, but if you can't drive then its like being 100yo and married to a porn star.

Gk_ 16-03-2011 02:20 PM

there we go :)

American Dave 16-03-2011 02:21 PM

ALEX. 16-03-2011 02:24 PM

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah the advantages of being friends with the president of the Ferrari club.
I shall enquire ;)

mattmy99 16-03-2011 02:28 PM

Basically the deal is:

- You could only be invited to buy an original
- It was stored and maintained by Ferrari
- Delivered to any track in Ferrari's list of "authorised tracks" for use
- If the original owner sells, Ferrari won't do warranty/service/maintenance

Once you're bought it privately, it's yours to do whatever you want with. Except register it...

attempted break ins this week

Welby 16-03-2011 02:33 PM

Just checked the garage.

Nope, not my place.

RUSSGT 16-03-2011 02:34 PM

Why would you watermark those photos? They are terrible! Coconut photos can kiss it!

Adz 16-03-2011 02:38 PM

Barbagallo's old race numbers.. :P

ImPreSiV 16-03-2011 02:39 PM

they are supposed to be 'preview' photos... he is doing the shoot in a couple of weeks I believe..

Gk_ 16-03-2011 02:42 PM

Yeah more photos to come soon. This only arrived here Monday I think

REXXXED 16-03-2011 02:43 PM

Look how scrached up the the underneath of the front lip is......Blasphemy!

Its not like its a proper shoot - a quick few snaps with the sun going down tucked in a garage.

Id mark them even if they were shot with my iphone.

Josh is a really good kid and I'd rather those pics than none.

BREW 16-03-2011 03:14 PM

Who needs that car when you got a dak dak :D
Look how scrached up the the underneath of the front lip is......Blasphemy!
Neg.
Blasphemy would be to buy it and leave it parked up. I love that it actually gets driven as intended/designed.

GTB Liberty 16-03-2011 04:50 PM

Agreed Matt ... Drive it like it's stolen :)

REXXXED 16-03-2011 04:57 PM

The car will get tracked maybe a few times a year at most, the rest of the time it is the worlds best showcar..... I agree, on the track definitely drive it like it's stolen. But im sorry if you have enough cashola for that garage above, then when ever its not on a track (for months at a time) then it should be in perfectly pristine condition!

Imagine seeing an F40 with a carved up front lip and stone chips on the front bar..... it would make baby Jesus cry!

Little update...
Today I spoke with Frank Ferrari, president of the WA division of Ferrari Club Australia. He was at motorkhana - he competes but not in a fezza (although his 512TR was there).
No he didn't change his name to suit.

He was fairly tight-lipped about the owner, as you'd expect.
"So I hear there's an FXX in Perth?"
"Yeah, took delivery a little while ago..."
"C'mon Frank, who is it?"
"Ahh, it's a South Perth man, lives down by the river" *gives a little 'and that's all you're getting' wink*
Then he added: "2.4 million"

teejay 27-03-2011 11:29 PM

Same Frank Ferrari who announced the care would be at the all Italian day before even asking the owner?

That's what you want in life.

Chaddy 28-03-2011 10:13 PM

You'd think he'd have a better garage.... one with a bar and a pool table at least :P

NVRENUF 29-03-2011 05:50 PM

I heard Alf Barbagello owns it, and has had it for a while ?

aparently Race number 77 was a dead give away.

and lives in nedlands ?

who knows lol

I heard the exact same thing.

Gk_ 29-03-2011 11:32 PM

There should be more pictures next week. Doing a photo shoot at barbs

Philbo 29-03-2011 11:54 PM

Considering that it's his wife's Custom Bentley and his 458 in the garage and the only person who would be able to import it and run it without Ferraris permission on any given occasion.....

teejay 30-03-2011 12:09 AM

Once it is on sold by the first owner Ferrari have no control over what is done to it. They also no longer set the car up etc.

But yes, the owner is fairly obvious.
