Retracting a statement?
Ok, so, story goes, I'm a witness into sometihng that happened a few months ago, now, I gave a statement, and the alleged criminal was delivered with the charges.
Here's the thing, I don't wnt to go to court, I wish I never even gave a statement, there's not enough evidence to hold up in court, as i'm the only witness, and I never saw a thing, just heard things. I want to retract my statement, is there anyway to do tihs? What options can I pursue? Legally, because charges have been delivered, will I be committing a crime by retracting said statement? I don't wish to give fulld etails of the crime/scene, just a rough outline that i've given here. thanks! |
