Curious, what sort of trend analysis did you do?

Well the GFC has pretty much f**ked up any kind of trend analysis hasn't it? Basically I've been waiting for them to get their loan before thinking about investing. It's taken them 3 years+ to get the funding. It's high risk, but high returns and if I lost the $50k it wouldn't be the end of the world.

I might put 10ks worth on my credit card.

Is this a good idea?

Do you get points when you do this as I need another 65 points and I can get a toaster or some bath towels from Myer.

Its speculative, but if you have been following MOL for 2 years as you say, I doubt anyone on this particular forum could give you any further information than what you have already compiled.

I play around with speccies and 'penny dreadfuls' all the time, but put the majority of profits into a balanced bluechip portfolio.

In the last year have made a killing on SSN (bought at 3 cents, sold at 21c), have taken hits on CXY and MMZ and did really well buying a pile of FMG shares at $1.38 at the height of the GFC when every 'expert' was telling people not to invest in the sharemarket. FMG are up above $6.50 now :)

According to market sentiment, $50k should buy you a dozen or so WRX's from the For Sale section on this forum.

1) Buy a dozen or so wrx's at market value.
2) On-sell at what you want it to be worth.
3)...
4) Profit?

Yes/No/Maybe there are always going to fluctuations in the market whether they be (but not limited to):

Scarcity or resources;
New Technology; or
Consumer Confidence.
Some just make bigger footprints then others.

Do you have an investment strategy, long/short term goal, diversification strategy? As that sounds a little like gambling to me.

Only buys shares with money you can afford to lose!

No matter what company, and what forecast, and whatever dodgy trend someone has come up with, they can still go to shit.
