Alibaba is the biggest internet sales company in the world. Their clientele tend to prefer bulk ordering being from initially Chinese manufacturers but are now expanding globally.

It's also being touted as the biggest Internet provider float, when it eventually lists, dwarfing Google, Facebook, Amazon etc.

Aliexpress stemmed from alibaba. Alibaba is a business to business site, the point of it is to connect manufacturers/suppliers (mostly chinese) with small businesses. Generally it is larger quantities as it's aimed at business, but you can lie and tell them you're a business and want to purchase a sample before a big order.

Aliexpress is more for individuals, its usually a bit more expensive than alibaba but not much, especially for small things like fuses. If you want to get fake stuff you generally need to go through alibaba (e.g. Callaway/Taylor made clubs)

Some good cheap shit to be had if you know where to look, but I would never buy anything off the net and expect it to be genuine unless it's a big reputable seller after what I've seen on there
