Default Evo X, any good for daily?

Hey guys, I have talkeed the other half into buying a car and we have decided on 2 VERY different cars but we have both decided that these are the 2 we want!

So those of you with an Evo X, how do you find them as a daily? we are looking at a base with the Dual clutch box (probably in white)

Also I will want to grunt it up a bit but she will not deal with bulk noise, what can be done there?

The other car we are looking at is a Turbo Mazda CX7 (different i know but if you have driven one you will know the appeal!)

Beau

I test drove the Mazda CX7 Luxury Sports recently when we were looking for a new car for the wife. I actually quite liked it, pretty well equipped and interior was nice. It did feel pretty heavy though and even though it had 175kw it felt a bit sluggish to me and i believe fuel consumption is not the best.
We ended up buying a VW Tiguan 147 tsi.

I have a white Evo X MR (SST paddleshifty) as my daily car.

It's a great daily for me. SST is awesome imo. Can slap it in auto for mundane driving, but I find I drive on the paddles more than anything.

3 modes for gear shifting too. Normal, Sport and Super Sport. Normal slips the clutches more for a smoother change, Super Sport is like you are driving a Playstation.

Downsides are:
It's an evo, so a bit bumpy and noisy for a daily (saying that I have Tein Monoflex in it too).
Boot is on the small side, but I've managed to fit everything in.
Boot mounted battery and waterspray means no split fold rear seats.
Cost for SST fluid is shockingly high, but you only need to do it at about 90,000kms. So it's like replacing a clutch.

Golf R with DSG.

Otherwise Ralliart a much cheaper option if your not keen on the brashness of the Evo

Awesome info there, why do some of the Evo's have a smaller rear wing than the others?
