Default Home Network

I am now looking at putting a house network in, ie. putting a network port (CAT5/CAT6) in a few rooms, with a wall socket, so the cabling runs up the wall & through the roof.

I am chasing the wall plate, backing plate and the port it self. I want it to match the colours of the switches already in the house, which is the stainless steel front plate, with the black switch.
I am having trouble sourcing somewhere that sells the right colour plates/ports.

Anyone know of anywhere good south of river? Of the places I've tried, could only find in bunnings and Jaycar, both only had white ones.

Wireless will never provide a sustained high throughput to match cat6.

I've tried looking before... Had to settle on white unfortuantly.

Btw, how expensive are those face plates!

No. Its not just for internet access, its also going to be used for transfering data. Wireless is too slow for that.

If you're DIY:
Ebay, Australian sellers. Buy a roll of cat6, a couple of wall plates and a crimping tool.

Want it done for you:
Get in touch with Compass Communications, their pricing isn't too bad (I think). They wanted ~$120 per point or something similar

*edit - not sure about your custom colour scheme though?

Yeah, getting the cable and tool is the easy part, as for doing the work, between myself and my brother we can do that. It is just a point of getting the wall plates I am chasing.
I know they do make the colours I am chasing as someone I know got it in their house when it was built.
Here is a photo of the colour scheme, not the best qual photo, but should give an idea.

Have you tried clipsal?
The have a shop in joondalup that I bought a few white combo faceplates from. Had a decent range so might be worth a try.
