Default IT Help - mail merge word 2007

Can anyone on here offer their services or tell me who to pay to get a mail merge template on Word 2007 work properly when you merge and send via PDF.

issue I have is I can complete the merge and email in HTML format and it send s to all recipients but I want it to send as an email PDF attachment which there is an option for but when I do this it will only convert and email to internal email recipients, it does not create the emails for external email addresses.

This is something that we do often so I am willing to pay to have it sorted out properly - even if we need another back end program to sort it out.

Help and recommendations very much appreciated

When selecting the To are you using an email distribution list?

I am using the email selected from the recipient list from an excel list.

As I said it works fine if the document becomes part of the email body in HTML format but it fails to create anymore than 1 PDF and attach to email when the merge recipients are external.

If you know how to fix I am happy to pay for you to come and sort or can you direct me to a consultant that can?

There's no need to pay I'll help where I can. I use MS 2010 at the office but haven't used mail merge since Office 2000. If you can jot down all the steps you've taken I can try this at work tomorrow.

Thanks Discobay

1. Fill out template (merge fields and data source alreday linked to template)
2. edit recipients - tick who I want it to go to
3. Preview - all works fine
4. Option that works is "finish and Merge" and send via HTML, this ends up as the word document being in the body of the message - not ideal as it is a paper based form that needs to be filled out and returned

Optrion that only sends to internal email addresses and preferred way "Click merge to PDF"
Record range "all"
Specify PDF File name
Select "automatically send PDF via email"
To = email
fill in email fields
click OK

This results in only sending the PDF to the first recipient if going to external email addresses or to only the 1st recipient if it is going external of our office.

Out of curiosity how many megabytes is the PDF ? And roughly how many recipients, it's just that MSword 2010 lacks a few key intergrated features that 2003/2007 had, my self and my dad found this out the hard way. I can ask the geek at work and my dad and see what they suggest could be the issue, bare with me as I've only used 2010 on my dads machine!

Just curious why you can't just create a standard email with the pdf as an attachment and send to a distribution list?

Because the form that is created and merged in word is personalized and picks up on about 10 other individual requirements dependent on who it goes to. This is not a mass mailing arrangement
