Default Firefox not using 'google.com.au'

Hi guys,

Hopefully someone knows how to fix this one up.

So in firefox you have the search bar in the top right. Right? Fill in your porn seach and bam it searches using google.com.au.

Underneath the search bar there is a link to 'Go to google.com'. As per below.

Curiosity got the better of me and I've clicked it. But now whenever I search it uses google.com, not google.com.au.

So how the hell do I get it back to normal!?!?! Going to google.com has the link at the bottom to 'go to google australia' but that doesn't change the search bar back...

Oh halp me jeebus.

Open firefox.
Type about:config in the address bar and hit enter.
A warning will come up, click the I'll be careful, I promise! button.

Type search in the filter box and hit enter.

Scroll down to Keyword.URL, double click it and enter this as the variable.

Edit: Even with this done, it still shows the go to google.com url.
Looking at the url in the address bar after the search is complete, shows it as being google.com.au

Has the home page setting in firefox changed?
If so just direct it back to the AU site.

Homepage is still the default Firefox thing. This is the search bar in the top right hand side. Using the main web page entry thing to search uses google.com.au... Weird.

I've tried changing keyword.url before but nothing.

I'm wanting to avoid a uninstall and re-install if possible.

I actually find it useful, as I can choose to google AUS or US versions. I use the Firefox one for US searches and have a bookmarks toolbar button with the AUS one.

Yeah I do it in reverse though, as I mainly want to search through the Aus site. So I want that as the default, not the US site.

While waiting for a fix add 'site:au' to your search

ie - 2 girls 1 cup site:au

I'm using Firefox Version 6 (I like this beta very much) and in that you click on the little 'g' icon and select "Manage Search Engines". From that menu you can get more search engines but I couldnt quicklysee any plugin yet that allowed you to use the Google.com.au versions....but there are some pretty cool plugins to use instead
