Get some Et streets on the back of your LS1 line up the WRX at the strip.

You will see him in the side mirror at the 330 foot mark.

They can side step the clutch at 6000rpm and get 4 wheel spin or bog and lose boost.

If its a seriously modded WRX it wont spool quick enough to be on full boost to launch close to a green light.

The WRX timeslip list rapidly falls apart. There are not many in Aus that can go under 13s. Most of the ones that have are on race type tyres.

My friend has a MY2003 and 3" exhaust, POD and Ecutek II - it would run about 13.0s with good tyres and a monster launch. But without it - the car is left rapidly by car lengths at the start and at higher speeds the difference is marked. When my car had the stock cam and stock stall with 3.73s we would have been close at the strip but my car would have had more from above 100kph.

My wife has a Forester GT with 12psi in the little Turbo, its an auto. It is good for about 7.7s to 100kph and would run just under 16.0s to 400m. It is deceptively quick. 160kph from zero would come up in near 18.0s.

HAHA! Funny read. At the end of the day you can do whatever you like under the hood of a commodore, They may get you on the strip or off the lights. But if you ask that same bloke to see what hes got on, say Mundaring Weir Rd (Hypothetically speaking of corse ). 99.99% of the time he will cop a flogging, driver ability permitting.

For me its not all about straight line speed, a car has to stop and handle just as good as it goes. Driving a car is not just about how hard you can plant your right foot. And thats what I love about Rex's!

totally agree. But majority of ppl u talk to about a performance car always ask the same question. Whats it do on the 1/4 Mile. Ive neva been asked whats ur quickest lap time. just a mentality thing due to movies like fast and the furious i guess.

The majority of people that start converstations about 'performance' cars don't have a fucking clue. The amount of times the first thing people ask me is 'do you have a blow off valve?' is insane!
