It amazes me that people dont care about fakes.
I can probably see the lack of care if you just wear them around till you ruin them. But the biggest issue with the fakes is their utter lack of concern for comfort and support. One of my good mates bought "cheap" Jordans off Ebay. 10 minutes into his first game wearing them, damaged his ankle that badly he didnt play for nearly 2 years. Fuck that.

It sure is.
The shop is called "Skate Element". I went in there looking for some skate shoes for my bro and saw the wall of fakes. $40-$50 each. There was no skate shoes in "Skate Element".

last time i found all the bali stores didnt have sizes larger than 8 - everyone over there must have small feet!
dont think i really wanted fakes anyways.

I've had some fakes before, just for casual use, and some of them were pretty good. Looked good and were seemingly comfortable - but as soon as I did some serious walking I ended up with incredibly sore feet, all blisters and shit.
Unless you just plan to slip them on just to go up the shops or something, spend the extra money and go genuine.
