First date restaurant (another food thread)

Just keen to hear from you single guys (like myself) on where you would take a girl for the first date.

My vote is Il principe in West Perth. Nice and quiet, flash but not too flash and a great selection of food

I think slik chix is gone as is pharohs in northbridge....that was a classy establishment. COuld get very expensive very quickly though....and I am not talking about the food.

Went to cream once and got into an argument with the waiter. Possibly the rudest bitch that i have ever clapped my eyes onto. She was not even good looking.

Blue Water Grill..... Heathcote. Great food and views of the river and city......

I think something nice and casual does the trick. If you go all up fancy on the first go, then the bitch will probably expect it all the time. Below is something I put to the test with good feedback.

Watch a movie, followed by a feed at Ciccerellos, then taking it down to the beach to eat by the water. Then find a place for icecream (Gelare or Simmos near by) or coffee (whatever order you like) and you've got yourself a pretty big thumbs up first date that doesn't cost the earth.

But if the bitch is some snobby yup bag whore, then I guess some ridiculously priced place in Subiaco will do the job. :D

and you'll get the occassional appearance by celebreties such as Benny Cousins too lol

Alfred's Kitchen, or Hamburger Hill.

Failing that, c-restaurant if you're not hungry and you want to seem like you're rich.
Star Anise if you want to be motherfuckin' cooler than cool - if its still open.
Jackson's.
Loose Box.

When I 1st met my missus, my 1st "restaurant date" was at the Fishy Affair in Northbridge (1985). Wonder if it's still there?

Anyways, we ended up tying the knot & still together after 21 years :D .

Damn, now I feel old again!
