Default RC cars

Hey guys

Just wondering how many members on here are into RC cars and take them out occasionally . Summers around the corner and great time to race em around

Was thinking if anybody knows a good spot to take a RC car out?, i want to break the 65+ MPH mark on mine and i need a really long empty stretch of tarmac, wide and open. Maybe a few empty car parks lying around i don't know about as its too busy to just blast mine down my street.

Could possibly have a few guys meet up and have a race around?

I have a Traxxas Slash 4x4. I've been to a local offroad track in rockingham a couple of times, but I think it would be more fun with others. Would be great to catch up with others for a run.

Have a Traxxas Bandit, that has taken a beating, along with a RC helicopter that cost me more on parts than it did outright, I used to take the Bandit to a push bike track near the Moon ad Sixpence pub in Woodvale....

Good times....haven't used it in years....it is more fun if you get a group to catch up as above ^^

Ahh me PWRX RC days.. these were very popular about 7 years ago.

I'm sure Adz still has the photos from our inaugural event at Hillary's car park

100km/h+ was a piece of piss at that car park, my full Works spec Kyosho V-One RR Evolution 1:10 nitro with Sirio Evo 2 motor and high speed gearing used to do it with ease!

yeh i know 100k is easy for a petrol or nitro... but with these newer brushless eletric motor there so mcuh less maintainence,, vorza FLUX so pretty much its the fastest eletric 1/8 scale you can get.

Off the box it'll do 100 kph, thats just stock with 2 3S lipo batteries, im gonna need a new motor for 120+!
but i really want a open carpark to do it on !

i think we shoudl arrange a meet for anybody thats interested, even 2 or 3 people would be good!

Hey guys if you are going out let me know as i have a few cars.
I have raced at the top level for the last 18years so any questions on setup i will answer.
I currently race Modified touring car which has been clocked at 117kmph on a 60 metre straight using an Xray t2 008 chassis with 2s 60c lipo and tekin rs pro speedy and orion 6.5 turn sensored brushless.

I also have a mugen MRX4 1/8th nitro with novarossi .21 that gets an occasional run.
And a little side info i race alongside Zac from cypher who like myself has been a long term racer.
