Default Any way to get songs and playlists from your Iphone to computer for free??

I have been trying for quite a while now to find someway of getting all my songs and playlists from my Iphone onto my computer and I cant seem to find any software that will do it for free. I used to have iDump and Yamipod but they only seem to work when my iphone is set to manually manage songs and the only way to set it to manual is to sync it to my itunes library which has 5 songs on it right now as far as I know.

Just wondering if anyone has a good way of helping my issue which is frustrating me so much! They have made it rather difficult to get a few songs and playlists from your iphone to computer! I have found plenty of programs that will do it for me, but they all cost roughly $30 and I really only need to transfer all these songs once. Any help would be much appreciated!!

I tried using that but it only copies the first however many songs from the playlists then you have to pay for it to do the rest.

It may not work, but I use SharePod for my iPod. Try that, and basically use the iPhone song directory like windows explorer?

^^WHS

But don't worry about the fucked up file names. the ID3 tags are still in tact, iTunes will recognise them and have your songnames in iTunes.

P.S Uncheck Hide protected O/S Files and Show hidden files (if in winblows) before searching.

This has been the bane of my non-work, making time-limited promises to my sister life for the last few weeks!!

Somewhere in my searching lately I have read that there is a way to do this as you plug it in by pressing the shift and/or control keys… not helpful, but maybe google it?

Not working as well as we first thought – was a pc format iPod and now I can’t see the music on it in any iTunes or on the iPod itself
Also had the same problem that it only copies the first however many songs

I’ve been trying this and I can see them, but it freezes everything when I try to copy them across.

I shall try this when I get home.

Failing that, anyone have any ideas how I can see the songs again?
