I reckon the second one was better than the first... having the pack split from under you and to hold the ball as you go ass over and head first is courageous stuff!

7 out of 9 this week... Who would of thought NM would beat Geelong?
Pretty good weekend of footy. Looking forward to seeing how the Dockers go on Friday night.

beating the Demons for your only win is little reason for excitement,
the eagles have beaten the Bulldogs, Demons and Suns who have a combined record of 0-9 this season so I am not getting too excited yet, Hawks are heading to Perth to play the Eagles this week so it should be a reality check for them.

yes i know, but i'll ride the good times and many bad times i'm not getting my hopes up by any means ! Just enjoying a rare win in the first few rounds! As a scientist I am good at looking at something and twisting it to be something that its not necessarily, hence: we're above cats and pies

Woulda got 9 if the favourites had all won... again, Colliwobbles and Geelong let me down... never tipping them again... lol
Looking forward to Friday night, but after being at the game on Saturday and watching the worst football I have seen in a long time, I would be pretty surprised if they chalk up a win.. we'll see I guess. If I was an Eagles supporter, I would be as disappointed as I could be with an 81 point victory over the GWS. They should have (after their biggest first quarter in history) smashed them by over 150 points... I think the GWS surprised them a little bit. Be interested to see this weeks game, but I would say, travel will play a factor and Eagles should win at home |

agreed that was the worst game of footy I have seen from the dockers in a long time....skill errors were rediculous and they should have won by 80 points or more
did you happen to see the condition of the center of the ground and the number of spectators at the GWS vs Eagles game...7000 estimated turnout maybe...AFL will not be too pleased...this is the only game to be played this season on the oval thank fuck...I am just glad the eagles escaped without further injury. Training run and foot off the pedal after quarter time.

It's the "blowout" scoring that is destroying football for me ATM.
Agreed Dave on the Dockers appalling skills and goal scoring against Brisbane. They are such an enigma Freo. Show some brilliance and than return to colts playing skills the week later.

Quote:
I perfer that to the boring, defensive, flooding style of footy that results in low scoring games (i.e Saints of 08-11). Not saying a low scoring game is boring, but when its just teams flooding the other teams forward line (like the Freo lions game) then its just a yawnfest. |
