But its the tactics of over possession that has slowed the game down due to the amount of players around the ball at any bounce down. How many times do you see a midfielder break free on the wing and look up and have nothing to kick to so they double back or hand pass it to some guy 1m away. Then it all starts again until someone breaks a tackle and create an over lap.
Saying the game is slow is probably the wrong term, never have the players been so athletic, the style of play just shits me.
When was the last time you saw a fullback kick out, a mark taken, quick handball to a running midfielder, a bounce and then a worm burner kick on to a leading full forwards chest with the laces facing out.

I also agree with why take players off when they have just scored a goal, really they should be rewarded with extra time on the field. Why celebrate/get pumped when you are just going to warm the bench..
