I was thinking it might be good to get a list of popular internet radio stations. I, personally, cannot stand the DJ banter on most terrestrial radio stations and was wondering what other's found to be good stations as there is thousands out there.

I use Tune in Radio Pro on an IOS device and have found that Trapster will still partially mute the stream and alert whilst driving.

A couple of my favourites are:

Deep Vibe radio
Ministry o Sound
KISS FM Melbourne

Club FG - hands down my favourite dance music internet station/s

They have their own app. Its based in france so every once in a while you hear some garble in french, but nothing that is an issue really.

iiNet have a pretty nice setup for internet radio stations, I'll have to find the complete list and upload it here.
Also use Tune in Radio on the tablet/phone.
