Default Advice: Website Software

Looking to build a fairly basic website focused on photo galleries (to display my work etc).

Wondering what you guys have used/recommend for a drag/drop style creator? I haven't done any coding since Uni (nearly 8 years ago now) and as such I'm not soo keen to go down that path.

Have my own domain/hosting sorted so that isn't an issue.

Cheers in advance!

Adobe Muse will be coming out soon which allows you to make a website with no html knowledge.

I signed up to a smugmug gallery style website. It's customizable, but for galleries etc, which is all you want basically, and maybe some prices, it might be worth looking into. Shoot me a text and I'll send u a link to 'trial' it

Check your web hosting doesn't include a site builder with a simple gallery feature...

After seeing Impresiv's smugmug site, I also went this way.

Only problem is it takes 3 1/2 weeks to get a print down to me in the South West.

I tried a metallic print of the Anderson/Searcy piggy in last years Forest Rally on 3 wheels with the chopper behind it. Really liked the print, and it was very well packed for transport.

try Website Builder | Create a Free Website | Wix.com

membership isn't that much and your website comes all out in flash. Can integrate all kinds of widgets into it as well. So easy and can look good if you have a good enough eye and don't go ADHD with all the crazy stuff

3.5 hours later and I put something together with Smugmug. Overall, very happy with the outcome for the actual time I put into it. Super easy to dump massive amounts of pics and let it do its thing.

www.ocdetailing.com.au

Serves its purpose and was able to customize beyond the easy templates - really can go to town with it if you do enough research in the coding side of things.

I did browse over Wix a few nights ago, also looks the goods.
