Default Hills MTB Ride

Am keen to get out this weekend and hit some of the hills tracks. I have sussed out about a 1.5 - 2hr return trip along the munda biddy which has some nice single track and some open fire trail stuff with some climbs and good downhill runs. Not fussed on the day. Maybe hit it first up on saturday or sunday morning. Let me know if anyone is keen.

Also open to hitting any other tracks people may know of.... Or if anyone wants to shgare their single track stash close to townb that also would be appreciated.

Chad,

All fitness levels can be accomodated. The faster fitter riders can blast off down the tracks and just have regular stops to regroup so the less fit or technically quick riders can catch up. (Generally where ever there is a turnoff where people may get lost.)

The track I have in mind is a mixture of single trail and dual lane fire trail. The run out is more up than down hill so is hard yakka, but the reward is a very much downhill biased run home. eg. might take an hour to ride to the half way mark and about 30-40mins to return. Not too technical. Would be preferable to have at least front forks, but its not real bumpy. Only a couple of rutted/rocky sections, the rest flows pretty well.

Nice one. One starter is all I need. Let me know what time suits. I am keen to hit out any time, but maybe get onto it first thing (on the tracks by 9) and be home by lunchtime....

Have got my bunky ute so if you want to meet at my place can load both bikes so you dont have to leave your car in the carpark up there unattended. I live in Melville SOR. Otherwise can meet at a servo in Kalamunda and drive out from there...

If you guys are keen to hit the stretch of track I have been hitting lately it starts near the mundaring weir hotel and heads out from there. Is about an hour out (can go as long or as short as you want) and is a little more up hill than down, and is a bit quicker on the way back. 30-40 mins due to being more down hill. Not too technical. Nice mix of single and fire trail. Could do it on a rigid bike if you had to but would suit front shocks or a dually XC bike better.

Happy to make a rendezvous point at the base of the hills or at a servo in Kalamunda for the drive out.

Weather is looking OK so should be a good mission. Can call 0419 433088 or SMS or send me a PM and we can sort the final details..

Cheers,

Blaise

Guys,

PM me your mobile numbers so we can get it sorted. Also provide preferred times if you like so we can try to come up with a format that works for everyone. At this stage, Sunday is the day, time to be confirmed...

Or if you are not keen, let me know that as well....
