When you say J are you talking about a Yamaha kt100j?
I don't ever see one of these hitting 150? A kt100s will struggle to get this speed let alone a J Kt100j's struggle with a full size chassis and anyone over 70kg Other than that sounds awesome, as long as they are well maintained
Yes, you're correct...I had the Kt100J's & S's ass backward..... The Kt100j will easily hit 80 with a 90kg driver - albeit taking longer to wind up on the pipe. The Kt100s will easily do 120 with an average weight adult on board - I was hitting 110 in Pattaya - I weigh 120 kg's. A lack of grunt won't be an issue. Just to clarify the quick karts will be KT100-S powered. The 'slow' karts will be KT100-j's. Two seaters will be 10hp Briggs & Stratton 4 strokes. |
Sounds great. Plenty of cheap kt100s getting around if the new Aust national regs come through.
This is a great idea tho. |
Karts & engines will be brand spanking new.

Any timeline on this? Planning a bucks there end of November!! Will be about 20 of us keen to do something like that!

12 - 18 months away approximately.
Track & buildings need to built first! |

We'll be using kt100-sec's - electric start & clutched for exactly that reason.
J's will be direct drive (so they do stop if spun) & we'll use a push kart for them. |
