Default Speed cam spotted 8th may 2006

Hidden Speed cam located on kent street near this school opposite Shell station. (11:26a.m.)

Cam is aiming at traffic traveling towards vic park. Becareful as you will not see it till your over this small uphill gradient.

I hope this file would be of great use.

i spotted one of those new facing-the-other-way plain box style speed cams this morning hidden behind the end of the bridge on the causeway heading out of the city..
my radar detector picked it up a couple hundred metres away when i was heading the opposite direction on the other side of the road...

this might suggest that the radar is facing the rear of the cars aswell as the camera itself, rather than the traditional multanova method of facing oncoming traffic.
also judging by its position against the concrete bridge end, i'd say this is the case. detection range would be non existant

I've spotted them a couple of times on leach hwy so far.

If they replace the current multis with the new one, we can all Ebay radar detectors.

You get zero warning! My RX65 can't see them until too late.

Was just watching the current affairs and apparently the readings taken from cars be it laser or multis can be false under circumstances.

Eg. Ocean winds, steel barriers in the laser or multi's line of sight, the curvature of the road etc.

In these cases the readings are from anywhere from 100-140kph++ when the car's actual speed is 60-70kph.

And also those locations where false readings will most likely occur also happened to be multinova's favourite location. Eg. Whitsford Ave, Canning Hwy, etc.

Police won't release the manual for the multis. They decline to answer of the number of fines issued, how many were written off due to false/inaccurate readings. Basically a crock of other shitz...

If the purpose of the multis were designed to promote road safety, then why the fark did they spend a miserable 1/3 of the $40,000,000 collected by speeding fines on road safety ?

Where did the other 2/3s go ??
