Ahhh yes this car.....

Ages ago when a mate of mine put his car into the wall at the Plex at 140km/h....his car was held in a holding yard along with this VR. Some of you may remember it.... Last year there was a huge accident is Mosman Park. As far as I know, the male driver was a bit of a nutcase, and had an arguement with his girlfriend. Story goes, he borrowed his mates car (this VR) and came flying down a hill in Mosman Park, straight through a stop sign, into a carpark and straight into a huge limestone wall.

The police were treating it as suspicious as the estimated speed was 140km/h, as it had enough force to move the limestone wall, as well as the earth behind it, about 2 meters! I went to the accident scene the next day, and the last I heard of the accident was that it was in fact suicide, as the brakes were not applied before hitting the wall (read: no skidmarks at all, and forensic determined that the brakes weren't applied because they examined the rear lights or something....don't ask how I was just told).

Last I heard, the male driver died on impact, and his girlfriend died later in hospital due to massive head injuries.

Not pretty at all! Really puts things into perspective when you see things like this, including the brain matter and all of the blood in the car when we saw it.
