RIP Paul Walker

Just saw this on Facesmack that he crashed his Porsche into a tree or pole and burst into flames causing him and the passenger to be killed...

Not sure if 100% true or not yet but looks to be.

JRecardo 01-12-2013 01:44 PM

Holy shit, that's one hell of a wreck, only looks like a little tree too. Incredible.

Sad news, fast n furious isn't the best movie franchise out there but there will definitely be a hole felt there without Paul. Even worse for his family, friends and close ones.

Looking at the second pic it looks like more than 1 tree was hit and also looks to be a sign on the ground so possibly a pole involved too...

SyncSubaru 01-12-2013 02:57 PM

I don't know what happened (none of us do) but its probable that to have such a talent failure in such a high calibre car, his mate may have been showing off and come undone.

Don't mess around with other peoples lives in your hands on the roads. There's a place and time.

I hope he was killed on impact, and didnt have to endure a firey death, cant think of a worse way to die.

RIP Mate, you will be missed.

On passenger side too by the looks.

Drive like lightning crash like thunder.

RIP bloke.

wawa 02-12-2013 09:08 AM

RIP Paul and Roger :(
I don't see how anyone could have survived that even if people had gotten to the scene quicker, there's nothing left of the car. Working in Acquired Brain Injury rehabilitation I can say that should they have survived they both would have been severely injured and never would have been the same most likely requiring 24/7 care. I hope that they passed away quickly :(.

wawa 02-12-2013 09:34 AM

Just saw another photo of the wreckage from the other side. They hit 3 trees and a pole, one tree is down on the ground as is the pole :(

DukeDrifter 02-12-2013 09:51 AM

Yeah it's such a Shame, both were huge care enthusiasts and helping out a good cause on the day. R.I.P

RUSSGT 02-12-2013 09:59 AM

Bit of a disrespectful thread title if you ask me.

SPOOLED 02-12-2013 10:56 AM

agree with u Russgt

DamoESP 02-12-2013 01:05 PM

Come on, every time someone "famous" dies it takes all of about 5 seconds before there are hundreds of jokes on the Internet pertaining to that person, or the situation in which they died, no matter how tragic the circumstance.

If people can't handle that, I suggest they remove themselves from the Internet. In saying that, just saw this on Facebook:

GTB Liberty 02-12-2013 02:07 PM

I'd suggest that the disrespect is the extravagant amount of time given to a "star" like PW rather than the hundreds of ordinary people who die tragically every day with no mention or concern from anyone.

I liked the FF franchise of films, however, that doesn't make me think that PW's death was any greater than any others that occurred on the same day.

My 2c

Bob 02-12-2013 02:16 PM

As I see it, the real tragedy in this incident, is that a couple of people have added their names to those that have lost there lives to what appears to be reckless behaviour on the roads.

Instead of the message being brought home, there seems to be a misguided assumption that they died in some way befitting to their passions.

Keep it on the race track.

/rant.

gorotsuki69 02-12-2013 07:17 PM

If it was some bogan who killed himself smashing into a tree in his falcoon, out come the jokes about Darwinism, removing himself from the gene pool etc etc.
Why should it be any different just because he is a movie star.

What shits me is that this hoiler than thou approach everyone has.

Fucking sucks that he is dead.
Fucking sucks the driver is also dead.
Fucking sucks that the helicopter full of paramedics in Europe that crashed.
It fucking sucks one of my close work colleagues passed away last month.

What's the point of all this?
Only one of them raised my interest in Japanese cars through a portral of a street racer.
The other one helped me learn my trade.

ALEX. 02-12-2013 08:36 PM

Ton summarise: The entire internet went to the beach on Sunday and got sand in its veejay.

I have no idea what you are reading? Who has a "hoiler" (whatever that is) approach? I just said that the thread title was disrespectful due to someone being dead. Am i "hoilier" than thou for it? No.

Am i sad about all the other deaths you mention? Yes. Would I make up rude thread titles or Meme's about how funny it is they are dead? No.

Interesting choice to post Dave...

Strubaru 03-12-2013 01:18 PM

i've said it before & say it again,

porsches are fucking shit cars

tank slapped it down the road showing off, rear end let go, hit a tree/pole, burst into flames, theres a great reason why engines should be in the front & fuel tanks in the rear of a car

Just want to say RIP Paul, Roger and Porsche GT. No smart remarks, judgements etc. We take risks sometimes to enrich our lives, sometimes those risks may take our lives. . .

"Los Angeles County Coroner's office confirmed Walker died of trauma and burn injuries following a car accident in a Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend Roger Rodas."

I have heard there is a Paul Waker memorial cruise, possibly this Friday night (I could be wrong on the date). Does anyone have any more info?
