A red/burgundy bug eye/blob eye just featured on the news as being the cause of the nearly fatal crash next to ECU Mt Lawley today.

Apparently was trying to prevent the ford/holden that crashed to pass him and clipped it at the back, causing it to fishtail and smash into a tree sideways.

The driver is now in ICU and the wrx driver is in custody.

Hope its nobody on here!

I don't recognize the car - recent comments on social media are saying he has died in hospital. Hope it's not true.

I drive that piece of road every single day, and that is a very odd place to come unstuck.

Hopefully that isn't true.

Guess they must have been coming from the lights in front of ECU and probably speeding to get to the Walcott lights, losing control somehow or in the bend before the lights when clipped.

Is this it? If that's near the lights where it intersects with Walcott Street 'the corner before', it could get pretty dicey if the roads are wet and you're not expecting it 'specially if heading towards Dianella'.
