Default Speaker Upgrade for Bug Eye

hey ya'll

im currently upgrading my stereo in my bug eye.
so far i have the new alpine deck with ipod etc, 2 x 8" RF Punches, and 2 Clarion Amps. im running the subs off one amp and the speakers off the other and they sound good but i want great god damn it.
i wanna stick with 6" splits in the front and 4" in the back so dont have to mess around with doors etc.
ive heard something about Alpine DD linears for results in the bug eye but does anyone have some further experience with this matter...

cheers in advance for any feed back...

Wato

I recently put 4 MB quartz in (6'' comp in front and 5 1/4 in rear doors). Slipped right in no probs-though had to use circular wooden spacers for front because they were deeper. Sound great but the friggn door panels let the sound quality down big time-i definatly recommend using deadening kit (no matter what speakers you use) if your not retarded about gaining weight-otherwise no matter what you put in the doors, those bugeye panels rattle bad.

Yeah have just discovered the same thing...

I had some old MB's sitting around that were in my pulsar... put them in bugeye.. sounds fkn shit compared to how they sounded in pulsar... and sound even more utterly shit compared to what dan has in the STi... (he has about 5000kgs of that sound deadening shenanigans in it)

moral of story.. either get fullisik speakers.... or lots of sound deadening shiz!

Just had Doof fitted.

Eclipse co axial fitted front and rear. Guys at Alberts Morley did great job. Have fitted speakers into stock slots so can't be seen, and sounds crystal clear.

Amp hidden away and subtle sub install. All in all sounds great with no crappy vibration or distortion. Could be a little louder but budget restricted amp options.

Couldn't tell you the unit price sorry Josh, got a mates rates price from Alberts, and the invoice didn't show individual unit price.

Can tell you the whole install seems quite good value, and is exactly what I was after. Nothing to showie but nice crisp sound.
