Seems my 40GB ipod has shit itself outside of warranty. Sounds like the hard drive. (Its quite noisy and clunky when trying to play it and it now wont play anything.) Anywhere local that will do out of warranty repairs or do I just dice it and get a new one. Feeling quite violated as it is only just over 12 months old and has already been replaced once. Have spoken to Apple and they dont want to know about it. Apple farkin piece of shite!!!

i took mine to digilife service centre and she flat out told me to throw my 4gb mini in the bin... "cant do anything for you"

hard drive errors usually mean death, mines in the bin outside maccas on st georges terrace... The emos looked at me a bit wierd when i threw it in there and cursed apples name :P Then silly me went and bought another one, sucker for punishment!

Sucker for QUALITY marketing more like it. Shamn the product isnt of the same standards.

Even though they dont want a bar of it, perhaps make a bigger fuss of it with apple?

Battery replacement no probs, HDD failure means it's a bin job I'm afraid.

I am totally in love with my iPod, I am actually TOTALLY surprised it even still works! I have dropped it, had it smashing around in my car, its totally stacked it when I stacked it on my pushie and now it lives in my MPS in the centre console, with sunnies and other crap over it still delivering me quality tunes to the stereo!

Sorry, I know this is a I hate iPod thread but I am holding the apple flag high in this one!
