Dr Graham Furness, Laser Sight Centre in Subiaco - he's a fellow WRX enthusiast, I met him through the WRX Owners Club. He did my wife's eyes 2 months or so ago, and she thought it was a walk in the park such was Graham's and his staff's professionalism and pre and post operative care. Could not recommend him more highly. Emma now has better than 20/20 vision and is rapt.

I've got 20/20 vision already so unfortunately don't require his services, but that's where I'd go if I needed the Lasik surgery.

From reading most of the posts, the story seems to be, don't get it done in WA!

I got mine done 5 years ago in Melbourne (Medonick Clinic)...cost around $4300 minus $500 medicare rebate for both eyes. Best things I've ever done, vision not to good for about a week or two then great, currently at 20/15 which is 3 lines better than 20/20 (all lines on eye charts....20/20 is the 4th line from bottom).

To contradict a post earlier, don't wait until your 30. The younger you are the higher the chance that it goes well and that you won't need glasses again (atleast not until you get really old like 90% of the population). Yes your eyes need to be reasonably steady, but this is normally the case for people once they are over 20.

My old man had it done after wearing glasses for 30 odd years. Wouldn't look back best thing he ever did he reackons. Mind you he does still require reading glasses but at least he's not wearing multi focal lenses all the time. Another vote for Graham Furness only because he's part of our Rally Team and a genuinely nice guy.
