Default hyundai excel

hey.

i recently bought my GF a hyundai excel 98 model and am trying to install a small tacho as they dont come starderd with one. but i cant find the coil anywere? any ideas? the other option is to plug into the ecu so does anyone know were that can be found?

Forget the tacho, use the limiter to determine when to change gears..... only way to get them to move at anything close to a respectable pace.. I used to thrash the balls off my ex-wife's excel... and no before anyone asks that is not the reason she is now my ex.....

A coil shold be at the other end of the HT leads to the sparkplugs. The Excel uses a DIS coil pack i think???????

Is that a SOHC. I must be thinking of DOHC model..........
