have to goto courts pay $160 or somthing like that and then apply they then set another date for u and u go in and they ask u why u should get one. then u basically need a letter from a employer stating that u will loose ur job if u do not have a current licence. thats about the only way u will get it. and even then not for sure.

anyway this is what i heard not sure 100% but from what i understand

Yeh you have to wait a while. I thought it was 28 days but not exactly sure.

Its a mission getting an Extrodinary license now. Can swing either way but it pretty much depends if you NEED your car to work.

Ie if you work in the same spot daily they wont give you one. If your a tradie etc you should be able to get one if you can prove that you can share a ride with someone etc. Also the ONLY times you can drive on E plates are to and from work. No more!

21 days minimum waiting period, for demerit points suspension and for other minor prescribed convictions.

This progressively increases for subsequent offences of 0.08%, DUI, Reckless etc. and can be up to 4 months minimum waiting period depending on # of convictions, except on special application which is an absolute minimum of 21 days.

It's long winded, but if ya want the full bottle, 'ere 'tis...

http://www.slp.wa.gov.au/statutes/sw...OpenForm&Seq=1

Select Road Traffic Act from the drop down box, leave the box below it blank then click on "select" and scroll down to Section 76 - Extraordinary Licences.

Couldn't post it due to the forum 10k character limit.

well had my licence for 3 years now and in those 3 years i haven't lost a point! however a moment of madness where i blew .0123 and lost it for 5 months, its been 7 weeks since the suspention.
i work as a installer where i have to do a lot of driving around from place to place and my employer will provide a letter. but from what ive heard its impossible to get it and its not worth trying!
