My current title is 'reporting analyst', which involves a mix of business analytics, business intelligence and software engineering.

Another crazy chef (at least that's what most folks think). Mental unsociable hours and get to see all of the Perth-WRX cars in the carpark while i'm working. The Saint Hotel.

What did you study at uni? I'm doing a management and marketing degree, and its starting to get heavily into the whole strategic audit and analytics..

Funnily enough I did a computer science (software engineering) and information systems development double major. I didn't do any business stuff at uni...I am kind of learning the BA and BI stuff as I go along.

The team I work with are awse though...always willing to take time out to explain stuff that I don't get...so is easier to learn on the job.

Are you thinking of doing some other units to break up the heaviness a little?

Nah mate, this is my final semester, so no more units required! Its been heavy all the way through, but its definitely my thing

Looking at branching into marketing research for sure, and I even have a few contracts lined up in the next few months in the field, but I will have the qualifications to do strategic audit and analysis if that ever comes up also
