Ive got Hospital Select Value and Extras Select Plus. My excess is a maximum of $250 per year. I just checked out my policy and it seems i dont get cataracs either. basically my knee op cost me about $1000 and this includes all my physio...on going mind you. and yeah all payment are derict debited each month... you can call me Wato too mate.

I was with HBF, only $41 a month ($500 a year approx)...remember if you don't have private then you get slugged another 1.5% medicare levy, it saves me a grand or two a year to have basic cover than go without due to the extra levy.

Alternative is to get a job where work pays :)
