Hey everyone, well ive purchaced a rc helicopter and its finally here after 2 months and an angry email. I was quite chuffed with the purchace untill i pluged the batery in and white smoke came out of the speed controller. All the servos are still working and everything but the blades wont spin. Basiclly just wondering what the damage is here, would it just be the speed controller has it fried the motor?

Ah, the magic smoke has come out.

She's stuffed mate.. bummer about the delivery delays. Impossible to really guess what you've fried though without seeing it first hand.

Would have fried the ESC, not the motor.... you only fry motors when they are running.

Besides, its the ESC that costs heaps, not the motor. Where did you buy it from? If its one of those Walkera heli's off eBay, they have a tendency to do that. Best to email the seller and see if they can help you out.
