Default My new rex...

So after months of wanting and looking i found a new rex

I always wanted an Alaskan Malamute and was determined to get one but for whatever reasons, it didnt work out. Instead i found an absolutely awesome German Shepard! He's just over 8 weeks old and is an absolute champ.

I've owned him a little under 2 days and its such an eye opening experience. With my work, I deal with pets everyday but everything i've learnt in the last few months i reckon i've forgotten!! Such an awesome and emotional experience!

Hes only small, about the size of a big Jack Russell, but judging by his parents (dads a national champion at various shows etc etc etc) he's gonna be a big boy! He's starting to get a bit more settled so hopefully i dont get another 5.30am wake up call in the morning! His name is REX, MY gf named him after the car and my mum named him after some inspector dog on TV hehe

Yeh hes a short haired GS..

Funny u mention the ankle thing... He's teething at the moment and would much rather ankles, shoes and shoe laces than proper toys!

Hes not always cute. its 11.30pm, im trying to go to sleep but he doesnt want to settle down and go to sleep. I sit on his rug with him and he's happy to lie next to me, but the moment i get up, he follows! Which would be fine, except he will be up at sunrise wanting some more attention! He's definitely starting to react (albeit slowly) to me and his immediate surroundings though

Gotta take the good with the bad i suppose

EDIT. Turns out he beat the sun and birds and was crying on the doorstep at 5am.. fun!

Dont you wish they could stay at that size forever?

Ive got two rotties, love em to bits.

The big one was the cutest thing, now he can put his paws on my shoulders at full stretch.... best security ever though
