Spewin about no flying under the narrows, but if you think about it....at least the govt has said we can have the Red Bull Air Race in Perth!

I would imagine that a place such as New York, would get all jittery at the idea of planes flying around at top speed within a few hundred metres of their buildings

I remember Skyworks on Aust Day about 7 or 8 years ago when the dude flew his Robinson under the Narrows.

The bridge was no problem, but he really came close to some boats.

Empty wallet here, and leave the licence on the desk on your way out.!!

I saw the race in San Francisco last month when I was home. The government didn't seem to have any issue with low flying planes over the water but they do have restrictions on how high they can fly over land? In NY City you can fly up the Hudson River as long as your are flying under the 1100 foot limit - all visual, just like a freeway. Last month a pro baseball player flew up the Hudson with his trainer. They went into a cloud bank it is speculated and crashed into 30 story apartment building!

I would say somwhere on the southperth fosure, I will be leaving early to try and get a spot right on the water lol if you go later this week or sat they might have the pilons up and you can see where they will be flying. Also if you have driven past there this week you would have seen the tower they have put up and what looks to be a couple of stands of seating.
