Default Summons

ok i got my summons today for my 102 in a 50, yes i did it i was running very late for sumething and it got the better of me,

but wot i am really pissed off about it wat the summary on the first page had detailed in it about what happened from the officers point of view.

First point "As he he turned left he accelrated heavily and narrowly missed a group of people on the sidewalk"
What the hell, that sounds as if i mounted the sidewalk and they had to jump out of the way. i came nowhere near these people!!!!!

other point was "he hte turned left onto hossack ave and acclerated up to 100 while travelling here the accused narrowly missed a group of kids playing."
Again it sounds the same like i ran right at them, But also there neevr was a group of kids at all!! they other group existed but these kids did not. i also had a passenegr who could confirm that.

now obviusly im in the shit for speeding but can just wanted to know is there really any point in arguing these points, its jst that it makes it sounds ten times worse then wot it is, im thinkin arguing isnt gonna do anything and i should just plead guilty, anyoe had the same problem with a summons???

I'd go to court and argue that statement.

Fine if you were caught speeding, but 'creative' statements like that don't help anybody.

Surely a statment by your passenger should count for something? Was the copper alone or did he/she have another officer with them?

Have a chat with the passenger mate, see if they'd be prepared to go to court with you.

The fine is one thing, but blowing the situation out of proportion is a cock of a thing to do on the cops part.
