This is what i done at the drags flat throttle change 100/200rpm before redline say 6900/7k i was slamming every gear and changing very very quickly but still using the clutch and it got me some awesome times i am only a p plater and only had my license for about 2/3 weeks when i went to the drags now i had four runs all in the 13s and my car is a stock my00 with a tbe. Now i dont slam gears on the street because my gearbox would not last very long!

Next time you go dont be scared to launch around 5k and slam gears

As I said earlier, on one of my runs I launched at 5500 - 6000 and all I got for my trouble was clutch slip

Geez what's with all these "slam gears" and "ram change"? Are you two 14 year olds?

gumby2006, take your time and just enjoy yourself. In the not too long future those who "slam gears" and "ram change" will be asking you for a lift because your car is still in working condition while theirs are in the workshop getting major repairs done.
