Default Bunbury, who lives there? What ISP do you use???

As some of you know, I am moving to Buno for a 3 year stint and obviously want to continue on my downloading ways once there. Who lives in the area or in any country area for that matter and what ISP do you use? Do you use peer to peer sites? Bit-torrent sites etc etc??

Cheers all.
Dan.

There's a whole mass of options, dozens and dozens, and they're pretty much all expected to be releasing new plans in the next few weeks.

Best bet will be to get sorted in the new house, then figure out if you're able to get ADSL, ADSL2, or even if you're going to be stuck with dial up.

Yeah, you should be able to get it, but still you'd be amazed how dodgy the copper network is frankly.

A mate of mine moved recently, can't push more than 50ishkbps down his line, no apparent reason whatsoever, he's closer to the exchange than I am in my place and I could quite happily do around 6 meg.

I'd still wait the next few weeks out and see what all the providers are going to chime in with offering the new 8 meg plans and see how that'll affect the rest of their offerings.

Don't forget its not how physically close to the exchange your house is, its the distance of the copper. just cause your 1km from the exchange, the copper might go the wrong way back up your street, down another street etc before it hits the exchange, could be 4km of copper
