Happy Aus day..

In keeping with australian traditions - a large selection of my family members gathered up at my grandmothers house this morning @ 4.30am to partake in the annual tomato sauce making festivities..

Is that australian or what!

Just got back from the new Hillary's foreshore (between Sorrento surf club and Hillarys Marina) and what a killa arvo for it! Set up a couple of tents about 3pm, cranked the bbq and drinks and just relaxed for a few hours! LOTS of different groups of people, super laid back atmosphere, no dickheads, no trouble and didnt see any police to hassle people about having a few drinks with their mates! Ideal arvo and even in super heavy traffic (well for that area), it took less than 15min to get home Adam, i dont think you were alone either, lots of people seemed to be blocked in and people had litterally parked on the islands heading up Hepburn ave and OVER Marmion

Fireworks probably werent as good as at the river, but they seemed better than the ones we could see in the distance at Freo! Mother nature also gave us a pretty good back drop and spectacular light show to go with the fireworks!

Edit: One of the shittest Hottest 100's too

Anyone see the One of the Bardges in a blazzing Fireball after the fireworks had finished at about 9:35pm burnt for 45min and was still setting off Fireworks. They tried spraying water onto it but that made it worse.

Yeah the rest of ther Fireworks was such a poor effort this year. The Mother Nature Show above Kings Park was looking more interesting
