The 10.1 megapixel sensor is based on the 400d sensor but they changed it to perform better at higher iso's and its 14bit.

Why would you do that? I'd wait for the Nikon press release first since you now have a set of lenses etc. already for your D70s.

The D200 is due for an update and then there are rumors floating around about the d3.

PS, not trying to say what is a better piece of kit here, just that it seems silly to change camps when it would be fairly expensive considering you are already in one
