I just shot a wedding 2 weekends ago and used the 70-200 2.8 IS.. FANTASTIC.. so usable as a hand held lens, fast and can produce great bokeh... highly recommended...

out of interest fellas, anyone know if there's a place in perth that hires lenses?? im thinking of the red bull air race thats coming to perth soon

EDIT:

Also, since a few of us are chasing the same lens (canon 70-200L f2.8 IS) hwo about a group buy?? Im sure Stu would give us a good deal if we all paid cash/organised a few ppl. Either that or try USA since the US dollar is pretty weak atm?

2x on the 70-200 may give you a few issues with focusing quick enough for the Air Race. Give it a try beforehand so you know what to expect.

You may find it a bit of a workout to shoot all day hand held with the 70-200, if you have a monopod it would be good to take as insurance...if your arm/shoulder gets exhausted and starts to shake then IS isnt going to save you that much.
