Prices are falling over here mate.(uk)
With the credit crunch and Gordon Brown cutting the vat (gst)
Things can only get cheaper if they want to sell them.
Fingers crossed.

I use a Canon EOS 20D which is brilliant. You can do so much with them. Canon or Nikon are definitely the ones to go for.

I bought i nikon D60 the other day, i love it once you know where the settings are, its not that hard to use, and (pretty sure others do this though) it still has point and shoot modes if you are lazy

i got it for $1050 with the twin VR lense kit, but i think i saw a brochure for camerhouse that has it for about $990...

Try these guys as well. Prices are generally cheaper.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.
Quick Question about Tripods.
Will all DSLR camera's screw onto all the Tripods that are available?
or does each camera manufacture have it own thread size.

Generally the same thread size. Check the camera's and tripod's instruction manuals for the correct size if you're not 100% sure.

I've never come across a camera (Digi SLR, video, point and shoot) that didn't fit onto a standard tripod shoe.

Don't think it'll be a problem
