Hi guys,

Need to get a digital p+s for work. Basically it needs to take good quality pics in low light conditions. With our current one it is either too dull due to low light, or too bright, with the flash relecting off the equipment. Price range about $300-$500. Cheers

get a tripod

We're getting a tripod, and need another camera since the other one is a whole of company camera, this one is just for our project. It will be for taking photos of equipment racks in very poorly lit huts. Figured we might as well get a camera better at low level lighting since we're buying one anyway.

Also, are there any tripods which will reach a height of about 2m? What about a single legged telescopic tripod?

Manfrotto 055 goes to about 1.8m.

P+S cameras have poor low light performance because they have small sensors, try to find one that has a large sensor from a DSLR perhaps, i'm sure there is something like that out there.
